The Questions and Answers Page

Q: Where is Oceanside and how do we get there?

A: Welcome to Oceanside, a charming beach city located 35 miles north of San Diego, just south of Orange County, and 83 miles south of Los Angeles in a region of San Diego County called North County.  It ranks 2nd in the United States for best climate with around 10 inches of rain per year and an average day time temperature of 69 degrees Fahrenheit.  San Diego International Airport (SAN) is 38 miles south of the Mission, while Orange County Airport (SNA) lies 48 miles to the north.  Los Angeles International (LAX) is 87 miles away, but is often the cheapest.  We recommend flying into San Diego, but all of the airports will place you within driving distance.

Q: Will I need to rent a car?

A: Unless you have the ability to fly, you will more than likely need to rent a car or car pool with other family or friends.  There is no public transportation in the area and all venues are at close, but different, locations.  If you would like to car pool, please send us an email and we will try to pair up those interested.

Q: Where should I stay?

A: If you are coming in from out of town, we recommend staying in or around Oceanside.  For luxurious accommodations, we recommend the West Inn in Carlsbad or the Four Seasons Resort also in Carlsbad.

If you would like to room share, please send us an email and we will try to coordinate this.  We also recommend booking hotels as soon as possible, as these are beach towns and will book up fast for the high season.

Now go rent that convertible you've always secretly wanted.
